Birthday Post #9: You Attract What You Put Out

Hiya dudes! Happy Monday!

Today's lesson: you attract what you put out.

This is a fundamental truth, and goes across many different belief systems, and has been proven time and time again. Whatever you want to call it - karma, you reap what you sow, what goes around comes around, you'll get what's coming to you - it's all the same basic principle.

The universe is all energies. The energy you put out will come back to you. It ripples. Negative people always seem to get more negativity come to them. Positive people always seem to get more "blessed" or have good things happen to them.

You know you've seen it happen. There's that one person who just seems to get dumped on constantly, and their attitude, while understandable, is just kind of a downer. Then on the other side, there's that one person that seems to have a charmed life, is constantly lucky or blessed or something, and just always peppy and perky. It's not a coincidence.

Obviously, there are exceptions to this principle - why do good things happen to bad people? Sometimes shit happens, but for what we can control (only ourselves), what we put out does matter.

If you want to see your life improve, then start by improving inside yourself. Improve what you're putting out there.

If you constantly find fault with people, get offended by little things, are overly critical or judgmental of others, or simply angry all the time, then sweetcakes, you've got some changing to do. That is, if you want to end that negative cycle you're in. Eventually it will catch up with you, and that may not be a bill you want to pay.

Try smiling more. As simple as it seems, a true, heartfelt smile can ripple more than just about anything. So can your scowl - which would you rather put out into the world?

Now, I'm not saying pretend to be happy if you're not. You need to honor your emotions, whatever they may be. What I do encourage, is not taking negative emotions out on other people. The person checking you out at the grocery store doesn't deserve the brunt of your bad day - they're just doing their job, and you may very well be the cause of their bad day.

Let the negativity that hit you, end with you. Kill it with kindness, even if it's not the easiest thing to do. Sometimes, taking a bad day, and fighting it by doing something nice for someone else is the absolute best therapy anyone could ever offer you.

Lesson #9: You Attract What You Put Out (So Choose To Be Positive, Please) ;)
